Eric Gormly Participating in Family Law Institute at the 2010 Lavender Law Conference

(June 2010) Eric Gormly, Managing Member of The Gormly Law Firm, PLLC, will be one of a limited number of attorneys accepted to participate in the 2010 LGBT Family Law Institute. The Institute meets during the first day of Lavender Law, the annual conference of the National Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual and Transgender Bar Association, which takes place August 26-28, 2010 in Miami, Florida.

Co-sponsored by the LGBT Bar and the National Center for Lesbian Rights, the LGBT Family Law Institute gathers a collection of skilled, educated and experienced LGBT attorneys to discuss developments and strategies in representing and advocating for LGBT families.

According to the LGBT Family Law Institute:

"Participants are all seasoned attorneys who were selected based on their work history and experience with LGBT family creation, protection and dissolution."

"(The Family Law Institute) allows experienced LGBT family law practitioners to share collective wisdom and to discuss cutting-edge legal strategies for representing members of the LGBT community on such matters as family creation, surrogacy from the clients' perspective, ethics, interstate parentage issues, estate planning, collaborative law, transgender issues, dissolution of relationships, and elder law."
